EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT
Support for women both in prison and on release into meaningful employment.
We are working towards working with 100 women in the next three years to be trained in the fashion, retail and creative industry. Watch the video below which will give you a better understanding of the process and impact we will have on the women who take part in our programme.
OUR PROMOTIONAL VIDEO
SUPPORTING WOMEN - INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
We know that getting a job after prison and getting life back on track is often difficult. Through our work we offer training to suitable serving and former women prisoners so that they become qualified and employable for work in the fashion, retail and creative industries. Support is available both for those women aiming for a job with an established employer, and for those wanting to set up their own business,
Someone who has a job after prison is 20% less likely to commit another crime.
OUR VISION AND STRATEGIC PRIORITY
The vision started in 2017 to make beautiful lingerie and it still stands. With the challenges along the way of raising finance and crowdfunding, the direction of the brand has changed, we are now fully committed to concentrate on training women from prison into meaningful employment and then proceed with the manufacturing of the lingerie until late Winter 2019.
In the meantime, we would like to show the original video made back in the Spring of 2017, which we hope gives you a better understanding of the vision for the brand
It is our intention to launch a social franchise model whereby women released from prison will have the opportunity to become Associates by selling lingerie from Barbara's own brand.
